DOGS FOR ADOPTION

Benji is a strong, clever and affectionate dog who is looking for a loving forever home with a big garden he can play ball in. He has been at the rescue for a long time through no fault of his own. He will need strong, patient owners who can ensure he has ongoing training to help him learn to socialise as he is vocal and pulls towards dogs he doesn’t know. He will need at least two long periods of exercise a day. Benji loves exploring on long walks. He happily goes for long walks alongside one or a group of dogs (differing in breeds) and would really benefit from having walking buddies.His ideal home would be one where somebody is at home most of the day and time apart is built up slowly. A volunteer favourite, Benji loves people and leans into you for a head rub. If you give him a bit of cheese, chicken or fish skins.

Reggie is a sweetheart of an 8 year old Rottweiler Cross. He's very affectionate, well-trained and politely takes treats. He enjoys leisurely walks and needs a new home where he can build up his fitness. Reggie came to us with Lola and after many years together we'd love to rehome them together but it's not a necessity. They love playing with eachother!

Scar is a very affectionate dog who has been recovering from an operation in a foster home and is now ready to find his forever home. Here are a few reasons why Scar will make a great companion:

• Good with calm dogs, ignores others

• Enjoys travelling in cars

• Can be left on his own for a few hours at a time

• Walks perfectly on the lead

• Attracts a lot of attention from passers-by on walks!

Rocco is a lovely English Mastiff and will need someone who is experienced with the breed who can progress his training and socialisation. He is nervous of new people so, if you're interested, come in and get to know him. When he's comfortable he's a calm, playful and affectionate young boy. Given his size we'd also recommend a strong owner! 

Such a gentle girl, Timer is an ex-racing hound and is very much looking forward to enjoying her well deserved retirement. Timer would like a relaxed home where she will get plenty of love and snoozes! She is not bothered about other dogs and good with children but we are not sure what she's like with cats. 

Lola is a gentle and affectionate girl. Just like Reggie, she's well-trained and politely takes treats and also would like a home where she can slowly build up her fitness. Lola came to us with Reggie and after many years together we'd love to rehome them together but it's not a necessity. They love playing with eachother!

Lovely Mika is an affectionate, chilled and gentle girl. She is looking for a calm and caring home where she will be able to lay in the sun on a comfy bed. She enjoys gentle walks where she walk by your side. Mika will be a loving and relaxing friend to have.

Gemma is a beautiful, gentle girl. She can be a little shy with new people and so friendly once she's comfortable. Gemma loves going for walks and walks nicely on the lead. Although very quick, greyhounds don't need large amounts of exercise, so Gemma is looking forward to putting her feet up and enjoying her retirement from racing in a lovely new home.

Berlin is a large and beautiful boy, who is always up for a walk with or without other dogs. Of course, like many greyhounds, one of his favourite past-times is lying in the sun and he'd love a home where he will be able to have a good mix of walking and relaxing!

Blue is an ex-racing greyhound looking for his forever home. He is a very happy and lively boy, who is always pleased to see you... his tail wags non-stop! He enjoys going on walks and his friendly to everyone he meets. He's very alert to his surroundings. A gentle boy who will make a loyal companion.
